Tesla fails in crash test – the Express newspaper

For a model shall be designated as the "TOP SAFETY PICK" by the american IIHS, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, it must get top marks in all testmoment. The Tesla Model S do well in almost all – except for the toughest test, where the car krockas with only 25% of the front. The reason that IIHS have with this section is that it corresponds to many real-world accidents….

In the test does not work the belt good enough. Krockdockan catapulted too far forward and hit the steering wheel with his head through the air bag. Would this accident happen in reality, the driver can count with head injuries and a skaddat right leg, according to the IIHS.

Tesla to fix the problems

Tesla says that they have made the production changes from 23 January to solve the problem that the driver beats in the head. IIHS will test the model again as soon as Tesla delivers a car.

A version of the Model S also fails to get top marks in IIHS test of the takstyrkan – which is important if you voltar with the car. This applies to version P100D, which has exactly the same design as the other models, but a heavier battery, which puts it on the car turn around.

the Model S also gets criticism for the bad headlights. This is also a point that Tesla says you should develop.

the Tesla Model S was tested by Euro NCAP in 2014 and was then awarded with the top rating of 5 stars.
