Bloomberg’s sources claim that Apple has already ordered components for experimenting with prototypes of the smart glasses.

An interesting speculation is that the glasses would make use of augmented reality, or Augmented Reality (S), to show the interface on top of the user’s environment. This could be used to show the Apple Maps app in front of your eyes as you walk, or show you the road signs in the car, but you need to let go of the concentration on the road.

Earlier reports that Apple is working on technology for augmented reality and has also recruited personnel with expertise in the area enhances this reputation further. According to Bloomberg’s sources, Apple and ordered smaller quantities of small screens that will sit close to the eye for testing purposes.

If Apple decides to bet on smart glasses such products not be introduced before 2018 says the report. The project can, however, be put down before its then Apple always has a number of experimental projects underway that may be scrapped even though they have come far in the development. The smart project did not interfere Titan is an example of a project that is assumed to have been far into development before the project stöptes.

Google Glass was never a commercial venture, but there are still some signs of life from the concept.

Google’s smart glasses Glass came very far in development, and were sold as prototypes until the beginning of 2015. Towards the end of the same year leaving Google filed an application for a new version of #Google ice Cream into the us communications authority the FCC, but a new version has not been announced yet.

It remains to be seen if Apple has smart glasses in their future product range, but it is undeniably a tempting idea to be able to see the information from Apple’s clever in-car systems are presented in front of the eyes in an AR interface.
