10 cool things made with a 3d printer – IDG.see

The first object that was written out of a 3d printer was something as boring as a cup that would be used for ögontvätt. Since then, development has progressed and today we see everything from musical instruments to ears. Here are ten of the coolest items that have been written out so far.

the kit includes drawings of how to write out the chassis and all the mechanical parts of the mower. Something that should work even with the simpler 3d printers.

Unfortunately, not everything to print, but you need to buy cutting blades, the electronics and engine separately.

bionic arm

bionic arm
Protests are far from cheap, and advanced models can cost several thousand dollars. But as with the 3d-printer distribution, there have been models that can be printed for a much cheaper price.

Exii has developed a prosthetic hand which they call the HACKberry, which offers mobility and motorized fingers. All controlled by muskelcensorer and smartphoneteknik.

so Far, only prototypes of the arm have been developed, but the developers hope that the technology can become a platform for the future protesutveckling.

3d-printed öron

Ears and body tissue
It is not just organs that can be printed, but also biological. Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) have developed a bioprinter that can print tissue which is strong enough to withstand a transplant.

the System uses plastliknande material and a water-based gel that contains the cells.

självkörande car

self-driven cars
In Dubai has bet big on self-driven vehicles and 3d printers. UAE-based DigiRobotics have taken both technologies and merge them to the WiGO, a self-driven car that is printed from a 3D printer.

ultrasonic sensors and GPS is used to detect and avoid obstacles on the road. At the same time, there is space for the entertainment in the form of iPads in the passenger seat.

But when we get to see a WiGo out on the roads is still unclear, the model developed is only a merchandise.
