Therefore, you can’t buy more than 16 gigabytes of memory in the new Macbook Pro – MacWorld

Memory in the new Macbook Pro

With the Skylake processors, it was quite possible for Apple to offer the new Macbook Pro with 32 or even 64 gigabytes of memory without taking up too much more space on the motherboard. Therefore, many proffsanvändare surprised on Thursday when Apple introduced the computer and still only offers 16 gigabytes.

A user e-mailed Phil Schiller, and asked what it is about, and actually got a response:

– To stop in more than 16 gigabytes of memory in a portable design today would require a memory system that draws much more power and would not be effective enough for a laptop.

Both 13-inch and 15-inch model of the new Macbook Pro may according to Apple, 10 hours of battery life, and an option of 32 or 64 gigabytes would therefore, according to Schiller pull down on it quite a lot.

this is something Apple has pointed out as regards memory in the Iphone and Ipad also. Internal memory must be constantly "on" and the costs so to have more memory.

But the difference between an Iphone and a Macbook Pro is at the same time very big and a disappearance of the large majority of those who actually use a Macbook Pro in the job is more or less constantly connected to the external power source. Even on the train and plane are today often the wall outlet and at home, in the office and out at the coffee shop or the like, there are guaranteed.
