With the Skylake processors, it was quite possible for Apple to offer the new Macbook Pro with 32 or even 64 gigabytes of memory without taking up too much more space on the motherboard. Therefore, many proffsanvändare surprised on Thursday when Apple introduced the computer and still only offers 16 gigabytes.
A user e-mailed Phil Schiller, and asked what it is about, and actually got a response:
– To stop in more than 16 gigabytes of memory in a portable design today would require a memory system that draws much more power and would not be effective enough for a laptop.
