Here is the biggest news in the Windows 10 Creator Update – PC for All

Microsoft has this evening during the Surface event in New York city has given us lots of nice information about what we have to look forward to in the upcoming Windows 10 Creator Update, which is released early next year. Here are the main news:

“3D for Everyone”

Microsoft is betting hard on the expanded 3D functionality in its comprehensive update. Features of the Paint undergoes a major metamorphosis and come out as Paint 3D, where the user – with the help of Windows Capture 3D-tool included in the update – can scan objects and add them as 3D objects in the images. A new tool in the program, called Magic Select, allows the user to remove backgrounds, as a way of freeing up people or objects and so you can put them in the 3D images. The idea is that it should be just as easy to create a motif in the 3D as to take a normal photo or filming with a video camera.

the 3D functionality will also be found in other Microsoft programs, like Power Point. During the presentation we got to see examples of when the presenter put a 3D object on one of their slides, and with a simple push of a button she was able to create 3D transitions where the image – depicting a tree – moved back and forth and zoomed in and out. The 3D functionality opens undeniably many new possibilities in how you can use Power Point.

Extended support for the Microsoft Hololens

Microsoft demonstrated how the AR glasses, the Hololens could be put to use with the new update. If the user, for example, created a 3D image in Paint 3D, he can move out of the image and place it as a hologram in the real world. It is also possible to pick out 2D images from the Microsoft Edge, and place them as 3D objects in the environment around you. This can be handy for example, if you are going to buy furniture and want to check if they fit in your home. Microsoft also showed up Holotour: the Opportunity to visit other parts of the world in VR.

Cheaper VR

Speaking of VR, the price to experience VR will soon be much lower than what we are accustomed to in the moment. Microsoft revealed that it has partnered with HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, and Acer and will be shipping the VR-headsets in conjunction with the launch of Windows 10 Creator’s Update. The price tag will be at 299 u.s. dollars.

Better opportunities for streaming of games

Microsoft want to make it easier for anyone to stream the games. The solution is spelled Beam, which will be included in the update. For example, if you playing Forza Horizon 3, you can with a button inside of the Xbox Live app, start a stream broadcast in a matter of seconds, and to create tournaments and invite friends is also made by some of the get menu selection.

in Order to make it more interactive, viewers can also come with suggestions on what the player should do. This by clicking on the specific buttons that are listed under the picture. However, the question is how many PC-users who will really use the feature then they need to be inside the Xbox Live app.
