“Now we have a complete list of the country’s domain name, and it is surprising (or perhaps not surprising) small,” writes the it technician Matt Bryant who discovered it, in an email to Vice.

the Revelation shows that the country has only 28 sites, which should be around 335 million domain names worldwide, according to the site verisign.com. The list was available for the hackers since the north Korean techniques – probably by mistake – made it accessible by removing a latch in the system.

Including websites is the national airline and the Kim Il Sung university, named after the founder of the republic and the current dictator Kim Jong-Uns grandfather. The north Korean communist party’s newspaper has headlines such as “drug-related crimes increase among south Korean youth” and “Kim Jong-Un congratulates forskarveteraner birthday”, according to Vice.

Several of the sites is, however, not to reach, perhaps due to the överbelastats of foreign traffic since they became known to the outside world.
