The bridge erected between the mountain peaks in the scenic area of Wulingyuan of Hunan Province in southern China, can accommodate 8000 visitors a day, but has proven to attract ten times more.
The rush led to that the lead decided to shut down the bridge on Friday.
the closure is only temporary, but nothing has been said about when it might reopen.

The bridge is 430 meters long, six meters wide and extends 300 meters above the earth between two giant rock ledges. Its base is made up of 99 thick glass panes. The bridge holds ten world records in terms of construction and design.
The bridge was a success from the start. At the opening August 20 was the crowd rush and people queued all night to be among the first to walk on the bridge.
