Apple stops Spotify Mobile – Göteborgs-Posten

World Apple and Spotify have recently had a big row over terms and conditions. Therefore, Apple has stopped the music service last update. In addition, lawyers engaged.

Apple refused to accept the app’s latest update was not well received. Spotify has now chosen to engage lawyers as they believe that Apple damaging their users. Macworld has reported regularly on the conflict, writes GP.

Apple has also forced to stop Spotify with one of their campaigns. Had not been removed campaign threatened Apple with removing the Music app from the App Store – which would have meant that it has disappeared from all Iphones.

Spotify for its part believes that Apple is trying to get them off the market because they compete with Apple music. The Swedish music service says that Apple is using the App Store as a weapon against their competitors. This is according to a letter sent to both Apple’s legal department and the US Congress.

– We can no longer look on as Apple uses the App Store approval process as a weapon against competitors, writes Spotify’s general counsel Horacio Guiterrez in the letter .

After Spotify accusations now Apple responds to criticism . Apple general counsel Bruce Sewell believes that the allegations are incorrect. There he points out in a letter to Spotify’s general counsel Horacio Gutierrez, this is available in its entirety on BuzzFeed News.

– We find it disturbing that you are asking for an exemption from the rules that apply to all the developers and the public spreading rumors and half-truths about our service, Sewell writes in the letter.

It is currently unclear what will happen with Spotify . The fight might land in the app disappears from App Store. Millions Spotifyanvändare would then be forced to start using other music instead.
