Google lifts the Norwegian Swish Challenger – New Technology

Norwegian Auka becomes magnet for sökjättens cloud platform.

Norwegian startup company Auka want to help banks lagging behind when it comes to mobile payments. Google Now lift up the company as one of the attractions of Google’s cloud platform.

Auka, founded in 2010, has developed a service called Mcash. It is a mobile payment solution similar to Swish and makes it possible to transfer money between individuals or to make purchases on smaller online shops. After two and a half years now launches Auka Mcash as a service that banks can integrate under its own brand, writes TechCrunch.

Thus, aiming Auka on a much larger market. Today the platform has 17 banks and thousands of traders.

Auka claim grandly that “this is a digital revolution that will completely change the current banking model and financial institutions to adapt their business.”

Mcash, according to TechCrunch, the first fully licensed and regulated payment infrastructure that runs on Google’s cloud platform, Google App Engine. Specifically Auka authorized to operate within the EU.

Aukas platform will not only help with mobile payments, moreover, it shall help banks facing the new EU directive that requires banks to open their services to competition, many believe will benefit snabbbväxande tech entrepreneurs.
