Two-thirds of all households and businesses in Sweden have access to broadband of at least 100 Mbit / s in October 2015. It reports the broadband survey presented today by the PTS, the Swedish National Post and Telecom Agency.

In Stockholm 88 percent of households have access to 100 Mbit / s actual speed.

Second Västerbotten, with a share of 78 percent.

Third, Gotland, with 76 percent. A sharp increase compared to the year before.

– is particularly gratifying that the expansion takes place in all parts of the country, says Catarina Wretman, Deputy Director General of PTS, in a statement.

The reason is that the deployment of fiber networks continues at a high pace, and that the surface coverage of broadband in mobile networks will also continue to increase.

in October 2015 there was coverage for broadband at a minimum speed of 10 Mbit / s at 77 per cent of Sweden’s surface, reportedly Mobile coverage in 2015. That’s an increase of 26 percentage points higher than the year before. PTS explains that with the expansion of rural operator Net1′s technology shift from 3G to 4G, and other operators continued expansion of 3G and 4G.
