The United States says the unlocked iPhone without Apple – Macworld

The US Justice Department announced on Monday that they found a way to unlock an Iphone without the help of Apple, which means that they also took back the right order requiring the company to assist in investigation of a masskjutning.

the decision to drop the case – which went on to demand that Apple helped to open an iPhone use by Syed Rizwan Farook, a vapenman in San Bernardino shootings that took place in December 2015 in which 14 people were killed – means the end of the legislative deadlock that prevailed between the US government and one of the world’s most valuable company. The case has with time become increasingly contentious since Apple refused to help authorities which started a debate about whether private rights or safety are the most important.

At the same time opens judicial capacity to unlock an Iphone by alternative methods, a number of new issues, such as on the security of Apple’s products. The development of the situation also creates a potential conflict between the government and Apple relating to the methods used to open the phone and whether these techniques will be published. Apple’s lawyers have previously said that the company would like to know the procedure used to open their smartphone, but the government may classify method.

The FBI has begun investigating the contents of the phone, but as yet nothing has been said about what is found. The Department of Justice has not mentioned anything about how they managed to get into the smartphone.
