Proposed new Climate Change and tougher emissions targets – New Technology

– Climate policy needs to find stable framework and we need to make clear to all players which path we should take, said Environment Minister Åsa Romson during the press conference.

Environmental Advisory Council is mandated to submit proposals to the government on how Sweden’s environmental quality to be isthmus. One of the proposals in the interim report is that Sweden establish a climate.

– We suggest that the bottom will be a climate that makes this more robust and long-term, says Anders Wijkman, chairman of the environmental preparation

the report also proposes the goal of emissions in Sweden should be reduced by 85 per cent by 2045 compared to 1990.

– this objective would be the most ambitious of any country so far has adopted, says Anders Wijkman.

Environmental Advisory Council will submit its final report in June.

– now remains a difficult piece. We will look at possible measures and policy instruments before we leave our final report, says Anders Wijkman.
