New viruses for Apple users – locks all your files – Metro

Many Mac users think they are immune to the virus. But KeRanger, which began to spread last Friday, showing that it is a false security. The hackers used the service transmission, a popular file sharing client, as a back door to spread malicious code, known as ransomware.

But the next attack from KeRanger maybe your backup files are useless. According to security analyst from Palo Alto Network’s code under development and have already begun trying to encrypt your backup files using Time Machine.
