Google’s new president drew a juicy salary last year. If you count together both the salary paid and the shares Pichai received during the year, corresponding to an income of $ 100.5 million, equivalent to SEK 820 million, writes Business Week.

Pichai was born in Chennai in India and studied engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur. Then he went to the US to study physics, but dropped out and became a consultant instead. Pichai joined Google in 2004 and was appointed CEO of the company in 2015. For it was he who came up with the idea that the company would take its own browser, which led to the Chrome created. Google Chrome has now passed Microsoft’s Internet Explorer as the most popular search engine in the US, writes Business Week.
