Crisp version of IOS 9.3 is now available for download – IDG.se

In conjunction with Apple’s event is the final version of iOS 9.3 was sent out to the public.

The big news in the IOS 9.3 is a new night mode (Night Shift) something that will help us with our sleep habits. In addition, a wide range bugg- and security fixes, more on those below.



Night Shift
Nightshift only works with newer models of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Night Shift

  • When the Night Shift is enabled used IOS device watch and location determination to determine when the sun goes down where you are. The colors on the screen are then automatically adjusted and changed to a warmer part of the color spectrum. It can even help you sleep better at night.


Enhancements Notes

  • Keep notes containing your most personal data with Touch ID or a passcode.
  • Sort notes alphabetically or by the date they were created or modified.
  • When you sketch, you can quickly obtain a blank canvas by swiping with two fingers or by pressing the new sketch.
  • A new checklist button at the bottom of each note makes it easier to create lists.
  • Show thumbnails instead of large images and attachments by long press on an image or attachment in a note.
  • Select if pictures and videos taken in the Notes only to be saved in Notepad or whether they also should be added to the photos.
  • Click and hold an Evernote export file to import the file contents to the Notes.


Improvements News (not available for Swedish accounts)

  • the new section with top items in the For You highlight today’s most important items.
  • Discover something to read in the Editor’s Picks, a selection of channels and substances handpicked by our Apple News editors.
  • by swiping to the left of the items in the for you on the iPhone, you can quickly share or save. Swipe right if you want more options.
  • Play video articles directly from For You – without opening the article.
  • View articles and videos in landscape mode on the iPhone.
  • Changing the text size of the articles so that they’re easier to read.


Improvements for Health

  • third-party apps for certain types of data such as weight, exercise and sleep are displayed directly in the app Health.
  • Health Panel now has support for activity information from Apple Watch how much you stand up, move around and practice and on your goals.
  • You get easy access to overview and medical ID with the 3D Touch commands from the home screen.
  • the third-party apps now have access to activity rings and summaries from the Apple Watch via Healthkit.


Improvements for Apple Music

  • Add songs from Apple Music directory to playlists without having to add them to the library.
  • View music videos on iPad in full screen.
  • See what’s playing on beats 1 directly from the radio tab – without having to turn the channel.
  • Tap the name of the song that is currently playing in the now playing opens the album.
  • See what songs are most popular albums in the Apple Music directory.


Improvements Images

  • Get the still picture from a Live photo image by pressing Duplicate. You can choose to duplicate Live Photo image or just the still image.
  • Improved download performance of the original images and videos in full size stored in iCloud photo library.
  • Share Live Photo images between iOS and OS X via Airdrop, and Messages.


Improvements for iBooks

  • Provides iBooks ability to store your PDF documents in iCloud, so that they are accessible to all your devices.
  • Adds support for downloading previously purchased audio books from the iBooks Store.
  • Adds the ability to share your audio books with all your family through the Family Division.
  • New controls allow you to read Manga better with faster browsing and simple controls to magnify the text.
  • Adds Apple Pencil support so that you can select and save your favorite pieces.


Improvements for Education

  • Introduces a preview of Split Case where several students can use the same iPad at various times during the day.
  • Adds support for logging in to iCloud with managed Apple ID.
  • Adding compatibility for the new app classroom.
  • new configuration options that let you organize apps on the home screen.
  • new controls that control which apps to show or hide on home screen.
  • Adds support for new restrictions on iCloud photo library and Apple Music.


Improvements Carplay

  • Apple Music-members now have access to the content in the order you new in Carplay.
  • With the new screen in the vicinity of the maps you can quickly find gas stations, parking, restaurants, coffee and other things that are necessary when driving.
  • Siri speaks more briefly in speech and composing messages in Carplay.
  • Capped sound levels between the different audio sources in Carplay.


Dolby Digital Plus

  • Adds support for playing videos encoded with Dolby Digital Plus audio streams supported for multi-channel signal out with the help of Apple Lightning Digital AV adapter.


Enhancements and bug fixes for the physical keyboard

  • Make it possible to use the arrow keys to navigate through the listings in the Spotlight, Mail, and Safari.
  • Make the space can be used to scroll in Mail.
  • Improves performance when using the spacebar to scrolling in Safari.
  • Makes it possible to display the virtual keyboard via the preset field when a physical keyboard is connected.
  • Fixes an issue that could make it impossible to unlock a ipad with the physical keyboard.

  • Maps adds support for getting a highlighted display of destinations, stations and stops for a specific public line by pressing it.
  • Maps now shows if there are multiple line options for each route proposals in public.
  • in the Wallet app can show app that is related to a card or a coupon Wallet by pressing the symbol on the card or coupon.
  • apple pay adds support for registering for loyalty card programs through apple pay at a retail outlet.
  • Podcasts adds support for video playback in full screen.
  • in app activity is a new workout tab with monthly summary of key figures and the ability to filter by exercise.
  • Move to IOS now gives App suggestions from the App Store based on the apps installed on your Android device.
  • iCloud storage adds proactive status information and messages in the app so that you will be warned before space runs out.
  • Two-factor authentication is now available for all iCloud accounts.
  • support for system language in Spanish (Latin America).
  • Siri support for Finnish (Finland), Hebrew (Israel ) and malay (Malaysia).


Bug fixes for companies

  • Fixes an issue where some VPP bought app could not be started when they had been updated.
  • Adds support for iCloud backup for the unit assigned VPP apps.
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent the certificate was installed correctly when the configuration profiles updated.
  • Corrects a problem for some IPSec VPN configurations that could allow an internet connection was interrupted when a VPN session ended.
  • Corrects an issue where iBooks could email the company handled the PDF document from unmanaged accounts.
