Silicon Valley giants is backing Apple – Business World

Many of the world’s largest technology now close behind Apple in support of the company’s position on refusing to break the encryption on the work phone that belonged to one of the San Bernardino shooters.

Google, Facebook and Microsoft, to some extent Seed application competitors to Apple, plans to submit a joint resolution in which the same position as Apple made. At least one of the companies that support Apple will be present during next week’s hearing, writes the Wall Street Journal.

Twitter also plans to support Apple’s approach to user privacy and the effects it might have to break the encryption. However, it is not clear whether Twitter will be part of the joint stance.
