Apple bought the premises at the Royal Garden this summer – 99mac

In the summer of 2015, Apple bought the property Seven Centuries 1 at the Royal Garden of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

Earlier this week reported 99mac about Apple’s plans to open a flagship store in central Stockholm, just off the Royal Gardens north end.

the site is today the restaurant TGI Fridays. The property is called Seven Centuries 1, which according to Apple Fastighetsvärlden bought from the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce during the summer of last year. The price, however secret, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce has confirmed the deal. Stockholm City Mayor Roger Mogert (S) said:

– We were contacted by representatives of Apple in connection with the purchase and they wanted to hear our reflections on the property and what is possible. We want it in the future will be a building which creates permeable from Harbour Street to the park. We also want it to be public spaces for cafe or restaurant.

Apple will be closer to present their building plans with an exhibition at Kulturhuset in Stockholm, which opens this weekend and runs until 5 March. The present building of 750 square meters, however, will be demolished to make way for a new glass-fronted.
