Wolf moves in Kristinestad – Vasabladet

Jarlsberg Kulla confirm reports that at least one wolf moves in the forests around Kristiinankaupunki.

Bergkulla who is the director of Lappfjärd Seudun game management can confirm that they have seen a wolf in Kristiinankaupunki area.

– You have glimpsed a wolf in Härkmeri and Lålby, he said.

Bergkulla can not say if it concerns a single wolf or if there are different wolves.

One need not be afraid to move in the forests of Kristinestad.

– Can a wolf sight of a man escaping it, worse it is for hunting dogs. Hunting dogs can be attacked if they are too far away from their owners, says Bergkulla.

According to the Finnish Wildlife, there are 34-38 wolves in Finland.
Saturday began hunting of wolves in the tribal enforcement order . Wild Centre has granted 46 exemptions for the trapping of wolves. Hunting period ends 21 February.
