Time to update – Cisco laws of serious security holes in several enterprise products – IDG.se

Cisco has released a number of critical security updates for several of its products, including wireless access points and wireless control points.

> The Cisco software for wireless control points, WLC, there is a serious flaw that allows an attacker to easily get in and change settings on the device. This in turn makes it possible to take over the device altogether.

 The affected software of the WLC: are version 7.6.120.0 and above, 8.0 and above and 8.1 and above. This means that a wide range of corporate control points affected.

 

 Of APs Aironet, Cisco has removed a user account that is included as standard. With the help of a hardcoded password, you can log in to the units, but not with administrator rights. This applies models 1830e, 1830i, 1850i and 1850e.

 

 The same products have a vulnerability that makes them vulnerable to DDoS attacks, although it has been corrected in the update.

 

 Older versions of Cisco tools ICE 2.0 and earlier, have been repaired after several problems discovered.
