LG has built an OLED display that can be rolled up like a newspaper – IDG.se

An OLED screen is 18 inches high and can be rolled up like a parchment. LG has worked further on the concept, and this year’s CES show they are ready to show that it works in practice, writes Engadget.

Technology were showcased for the first time had a screen resolution of 1200 times 800 pixels , and went to roll up into a roll with three centimeters in diameter. It was 2014, and what has happened since then will we see during the fair.

 The screens could be used to make tablets that actually feels like newspapers, or be able to attach digital signs on curved surfaces. During the exhibition, LG will include how a bendable screen attached to a car’s rugged interior.

 

 LG will also showcase a paper-thin 55-inch OLED screen and another 55-incher that displays an image on each side of the screen – handy, for example, store displays.
