There have been a profitable Christmas and New Year period for Apple.

– We are exhalterade that our customers have downloaded and had the joy of so many fantastic apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch Apple TV and spent over $ 20 billion in the App Store just last year, said Apple’s marketing Philip Schiller, in a press release.

Gaming, social networking and entertainment were among the year’s most popular categories in the App store. Apple TV and Apple Watch has pioneered new appupplevelser and changed the way how people consume content.

On the list of top apps in the IT giant’s smart watch is Swedish Lifesum with.

– The partnership with Apple is very important. First having been a launch partner with Apple Watch and to now be brought back to the press release is extremely flattering, says Henrik Torstensson, co-founder and CEO of Lifesum.

Before the year end Lifesum 12 million users and 20,000 new users per day. Since New Year, that number increased significantly. Now flowing daily from 30 to 50,000 new users to the service.

– Both of the phones and the clocks have gone fantastically well for the New Year. New Year and January is a good period for us, but it is better than expected, says Henrik Torstensson.

In addition to the boost from Apple and Google has increased its explanation in people’s promises a healthier life.

– People are looking for us up throughout the year to make a fresh start and to think more about diet and exercise. But in January, it is obviously a concentration, says Henrik Torstensson.

According to Apple, the company has now created 1.9 million jobs in the US alone. Almost a third of these – over 1.4 million can be connected to the community of appkreatörer, software engineers and entrepreneurs who build apps for iOS.
