Five planets proves once – then you can see the celestial show – Sundsvall Tidning

In late January the radar of our most visible planets up in the morning sky.

Venus, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter will appear together with rare Mercury, according to Metro.

– If you wish to see all five at the same time, it is most likely 28 to 29 January, because then Mercury will be the easiest to find, says Robert Cumming, astronomer at Onsala Observatory, told the newspaper.

He explains why Venus and Jupiter are the easiest to see:

– Venus is covered by white clouds and when it comes to Jupiter, it is simply because it is so big – the solar system by far the largest planet.

The planets will to line up on 28 January and a few days ahead, and at the end of the period also passes the moon through the plane line.

Best conditions to behold plane show is in southern Sweden – the further north you go, the harder it is.

Metro also says that it is important to have clear weather and clear horizon to the south and southeast.
