After the rear doors – Juniper throws the NSA algorithm of their firewalls – IDG.se

Just before Christmas revealed networking company Juniper their discovery of hidden backdoors in their firewalls. They have of course been closed, but now even the technology that made them possible cleaned out.

Many have pointed the algorithm Dual_ec_drbg as the culprit. The allegedly defective built into pressure from the US intelligence NSA. Security experts believe that it will be using these as someone snuck in the back doors in fire walls.

In an upcoming update of the operating system Screen OS, Juniper replace Dual_ec_drbg, and another algorithm called Ansi X.9.31. The company will instead use the same encryption technology as in its other operating Junos OS. The changes will take place “during the first half of 2016,” writes Juniper on their blog.

The rear doors that were discovered Screen Olympics was a master password which made it possible to log on to any user, and another that makes it possible for third parties to intercept all the traffic going through the firewall.

Juniper also writes that after the discovery made a thorough inspection of both Screenshot OS and Junos OS, but to find someone more alien code.
