Forget the cutting board for 4000 – these headphones cost a half million – Metro

The German Sennheiser is now presented its latest luxury product, a pair of headphones for € 50 000, about 470 000 kronor. The model is called “Orpheus” and comes with an amplifier in Carrara marble from Italy, writes The Register .

custom built site has been created for the headphones which describes with grandiose words and commercials and an interactive game where you can carve out a sound way out of a monolith from outer space.

Last week’s big thing was Per Morbergs cutting board for 4000 crowns. News The site Kit calculated that the price per square meter on the dashboard, 16,300 kronor, is comparable to a condominium in Skellefteå. But in comparison with the headphones is the board then the wind.

Now is not the headphones made of wood, but the question is whether the more exclusive materials and the manufacturing process really justifies the exorbitant price tag – and who can afford to buy them.
