Research will provide local crisis plan – Kristianstadsbladet

Today ended the trial of nanny in Kristianstad indicted for abuse of over 20 children, who Kristianstadsbladet reported. Chief prosecutor Pär Andersson called for a long prison sentence and he believes that the crimes should be judged as serious, even if the children did not receive physical injuries that made that they needed medical assistance. There are several reasons, he believes:

– First, the trust he enjoyed that these children’s guardian, he has abused miserably, plus he ruthlessly exploited the these one- and two-year old cars.

Municipality in shock

The entire municipality ended up in shock when it was clear that he was suspected of having subjected several preschool children for sexual abuse in different preschools. Last year was shaken Hogsby of a similar case, an employee was convicted of both rape and abuse of preschoolers as he had care of.

Cecilia Stewart, a researcher at Linnaeus University, hopes of a new research project to develop a model for how municipalities should act.

– If a fire breaks out, there is a crisis team and plan, but in these cases do not usually there. Municipalities do not expect it to happen. And municipalities that have been affected’d rather just forget and move on, she says.

“Extremely difficult task”

The idea is to interviewing concerned, both parents and staff.

– You may have hired a person who is guilty of this, to feel guilt. From one day to another you have to inform parents about this horrible. It is an extremely difficult task.

Many municipalities have too much confidence check of public records, which are made at all recruited to work with children.

– It gives a false sense of security. Very few are convicted of these crimes. The police may have received complaints, but if the person is convicted, there is no listing.

Even female offenders

In the ’90s attended a preschool director out and made it clear that no more men were employed at the company nursery.

– He thought it was a super smart move. But there are also women who commit abuses. They revealed just not as easy. If you ask people who have been subjected shows the 20, 25 percent of all assaults are committed by women.

Cecilia Stewart expects that the project will be completed in mid-2017.
