New Apple TV shipped next week – 99mac

Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the new Apple TV can be pre-booked from Monday, and shipped by the end of next week.

During the Monday evening visited Tim Cook Conference WSJD live in California, and answered questions from the journalist Gerry Baker in a number of areas, reports The Verge.

Among other things, revealed Cook to advance bookings for the new Apple TV will be able to be done from Monday, and that the new device will begin shipping at the end of the week. Previously, Apple has only said that # Apple TV will “end of October”.

Tim Cook said that Apple TV lays the foundation for a new type of experience and that Apple is trying to repair a “broken experience” to watch television. Today’s “linear television,” the channels need to be modernized, and this will be achieved through apps which providers such as HBO can sell content directly to customers.

The new Apple TV will be sold in two versions, with storage of 32 and 64 gigabytes. The product will initially be released in 80 countries, of which Sweden seems to be one. Before year’s end, it shall still be possible to buy in 100 countries, according to Apple.
