Here Pebbles new smart watch – Mobile

The latest family member of Pebbles suite of watches presented late on Wednesday, Swedish time. The time is 7.8 millimeters thick and weighs 28 grams, which compares to 9.5 mm and 42.5 grams of precursor Pebble Time, launched last winter. This makes Pebble Time Round the thinnest and lightest smart watches on the market, the company states themselves.

The screen of the Time Round is of the same type as on the Time Steel, ie an e-ink screen that can be display up to 64 colors. The great news is that the screen now then is, well, round instead of square. However, it seems that a relatively large part of the round screen is made up of dead space.

The watch’s battery life is said to still extend over several days. Pebble has also added a new quick charge function, which means that a quarter of charging time to be able to provide enough power to keep the clock alive for a whole day.

Pebble Time Round is available in black, silver and gold. The timer can be used together with a leather bracelet with a width of either 14 or 20 millimeters.

Kickstarter-backare who just received his Pebble Steel has now also launched a kind of trade-in program, which, somewhat simplified, making it possible to exchange its Steel -Clock against a Time Round when released.

Pebbles new round clock can be pre-booked from today and costs the equivalent of around 2 100 Swedish kronor. The clock will then begin shipping in November.
