Microsoft plans major cuts – the workforce can reduce … – IDG.se

Microsoft is expected within cards go out with information about the extensive cuts, writes the New York Times, in an attempt to reduce costs. It has only been a year since the company said on 18 000 persons worldwide and the upcoming layoff is superimposed on it.

The cuts will likely affect employees who work with Microsoft’s hardware, including the smartphone manufacturing who fought against the wind.

Microsoft has chosen not to comment on the information, which comes from informed individuals who wish to remain anonymous. According to the New York Times management has hinted that it may necessitate more cuts for several months. Satya Nadella, who became CEO at the beginning of last year, tried in an email in June pep staff for the coming year. But at the same time, he warned that they face tough choices in areas that do not work.
