It took less than 24 hours for Taylor Swift to get one of the world’s largest companies to change the policy.

So was 25-year-old one of the music industry’s most powerful.

On Sunday published the pop star a blog on Tumblr, where she politely but firmly challenged Apple’s new streaming service Apple Music not to replace producers, songwriters and performers during the three free months that the company offers to its users. And Apple brought to the criticism. Just hours after the announcement, the company announced that they are changing – and will pay the musicians.

The question remains of how much benefit it concerns. But one thing is certain – Taylor Swift has managed something that the music industry with their combined forces have not previously done. Apple is known to adhere to its decision on payment models, despite criticism by the industry.

Now it is not all Taylor Swift is the most need of that money (according to Forbes, she is good for 400 million US dollars) – but Apple’s decision has a major impact on the less established artists and indie labels that are dependent on the streaming of websites payments.

Taylor Swift different from other pop artists. She has a background in country music and took professional låtskrivarlektioner before she released her debut album, filled to the brim of teenage feelings of unrequited love and gymnasieklischéer to the tune of traditional Nashville country, when she was sixteen years old. The international breakthrough came when Taylor Swift abandoned country music for a more commercial pop in and with the fourth album “Red”, released in 2012.

One of the explanations for Taylor Swift’s massive success is her willingness to be a best friend with each one of his millions of fans. She is a real girl-next-door-performer – not as chilly confrontational like Madonna and more human than the artwork Lady Gaga – who puts his foot down, politely but firmly, when the newspapers are asking questions about her relationships rather than the music. Ahead of last year’s album “1989″ fueled her at her best friend-image by inviting selected fans at pizza party and preview for the album in his New York City apartment.

Taylor Swift impeccable media image has helped her repeatedly ranked as one of the world’s most influential artists as Forbes, Time magazine, 4Music and other media annually compiles its lists.

From this perspective, Taylor Swift was probably the best thing that could happen to Apple. A polite blog reprimand, embedded in the flattery of the company’s success (“I write this with love, respect and admiration for everything else that Apple has made”). Medial Range: 59 million Twitter followers.

The Business Insider says that it is obvious that Taylor Swift, in his blog post, favoring Apple over other companies with similar streaming services (ergo Spotify that Taylor Swift did six months ago because free memberships which she disliked).

When Spotify refused following the pop star’s demands and negotiations went into deadlock (Swift’s album is still impossible to find on Spotify) appears Apple more and more as the winner the streaming war through its media strategic turnaround.

Spotify’s attempt at a “Please come back” playlist will unfortunately not.
