“App Store and apps changed everything” – 99mac

Apple unveiled not only the news on Monday. A six-minute video also salute the App Store and the apps changed our lives.

When the App Store launched contained the store 500 apps. Now, seven years later, there are 1.5 million apps. During Monday’s presentation in San Francisco’s Apple showed a video which tells about “The App Effect”, the # App Store and apps changed our lives.

And soon it has gone. It took over a hundred years before electricity reached out to 50 million people. Television reached out to as many in 13 years – but the app store got 50 million users in just 17 months.

App Store contains educational apps for learning, social apps to keep in touch, tools to work, and a lot of other things. In the video talking among astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, Instagrams CEO Kevin Systrom and filmmaker JJ Abrams.

On average, each user has 119 apps and 850 apps downloaded every second. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the App Store has now reached a new milestone. Overall, there has been downloaded 100 billion apps.
