The prosecutor had the right to investigate Elin Falk’s computer – medievärlden.se

The district court has given the prosecutor to go through the murdered VF reporter’s mobile phone and computer. But editor Anna Lith intend to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal.

Lycksele District Court has ruled the seizure of the murdered VF reporter Elin Falk’s mobile and computer. In contrast, lifted the seizure of her notebook.

The district court gave the magazine a right to be involved in the investigation, if the source material protected found in any of the units so the investigation shall be discontinued immediately.

VF’s editor Anna Lith is not happy with the decision and plan to appeal to the Court of Appeal.

There is no question that I would agree to any outsiders go through equipment where there may be the source protected material. It would theoretically be about material relating to police or prosecutors, which would certainly be a tricky situation.

She has had time to read the judgment she interprets as if the district court generally accepted paper’s reasoning.

But then stumbled at the finish line.

Furthermore, I must say that it is obsolete to 2015 seizure of computers and mobile phones but not the notepad then it can be assumed to contain source material protected.

Do you think there is something in mobile phone or computer that may be of importance for investigation?

– There are strong reasons to suspect that, yes.
