Apple Watch can shower, but not bathe – 99mac

Tim Cook has previously said that he showers her with Apple Watch. In a footnote on page parts Apple now brings in more details about water resistance.

One of the things that many wondered since Apple first showed up # Apple Watch last year is how it can withstand water. Recently said Apple CEO Tim Cook that he showers his watch, but after Monday’s press conference is little information on how the situation with water and Apple Watch on the company website.

Apple writes that the watch is splash and water resistant, meaning that it is possible to wear and use the clock during training, in the rain and when to wash their hands, but it is not recommended to lower it into the water.

The clock is classified as IPX7 of the IEC 60529 which means it can handle up to 30 minutes in water at a maximum of one meter of water. Apple also notes that leather bracelets do not tolerate water.
