Women’s Register was used in the research – without permission – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

The Daily Echo continuing their revelations regarding the acclaimed records.

From the data registers established, the police have made hard copies distributed to researchers and students at Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall freely allowed to browse the victim acts.

This document has since resulted in articles published in international journals – without any ethical review made.

Henrik Belfrage , Professor of criminology, sees no problem with the procedure:

– In my opinion, this type of research is regarded as quality assurance. And then needed no permit, says Henrik Belfrage to Dagens Eko.
