Inadequate security alarms in every third municipality – Aftonbladet

Every third municipality in Sweden are using security alarms with major flaws. It shows a survey conducted by the National Board, reports the Echo.

It is the analog alarms that are faulty. Up to one in five alarms never reaches the dispatcher, according to Telia. Although it uses every third municipality only analog alarm.

A modernization going on where you switch to digital alarms, but the development must go faster mean man on the National Board.

– The major’s that few municipalities have chosen to digitize. It is only eight percent who chose to digitize all their alarms and 30 percent did not started the process, says Dick Lindberg, investigators at the National Board, to echo.
