Space probe collected the unique grain – Aftonbladet

Stockholm. NASA’s Stardust space probe has taken seven of dust from space to Earth. The first results of the analysis indicate that the grains originated outside our solar system, reports Vetenskapsradion.

– We know a lot of small particles in space, but to be able to retrieve them are really great, says astronomer Robert Cumming, to the radio.

The material can be interesting to understand how, for example, the earth was formed. The researchers say that the grains do not look like the models predicted, and that they should be studied further.
